The Digitwidget came to be while I was trying to get my fingers the same length as I build an armature. From there, I developed a tool that would help create uniform, consistent lengths for fingers and critter toes, and I am still finding more ways to use it. Bird feet, owl claws, mouse and rabbit arms...so many possibilities!
The tool is hand crafted by one woodworker whom I met in the Adirondacks in New York. He is using Cherry wood and finishing with several coats of boiled linseed oil for a smooth finish so it is a joy to handle. Each one is unique.
Just received my digitwidget and am very impressed with the quality of this tool!
Look out fingers and toes…. They may actually match when making my elves!

Fun tool for crafting needs
I really, really love this tool and it is a must have for felters. I am currently using it for bird feet and whether or not you make human or animal feet, it is a must have too!
It is a fun tool to use and I love how everything can be perfectly the same size whether you need to make 2 or 4.. Consistently having the same size is so important! I love it
